The History of Lumen Field
Construction on Lumen Field began in 2000 after voters approved financing the stadium in a statewide election. This stadium is built near the harbor close to the city center.
The total cost of the construction was 360 million dollars, while 300 million were public funds from the people of Seattle. The stadium was designed by Ellerbe Becket and LMN Architects and is a beautiful building that is open on the north side overlooking the nearby high-rise.
